This month’s release all-star is _Donors Cover Fees_, which was [first announced](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2gk5OA8psg) in May of this year. _Donors Cover Fees_ is Funraise’s new transaction fee model that provides an effective _Funraise Platform Transaction Fee_ rate of 0% for qualified transactions.

This release also includes new tools to automatically recover failed recurring donations and improve donor management processes.

# What’s new

### Donors Cover Fees 🎉

We’re excited to announce that Funraise’s new Transaction Fee feature, _[Donors Cover Fees](https://help.funraise.io/en/articles/5063368-donors-cover-fees)_, has been activated on Giving Forms for organizations that have been opted in. This update provides an effective _Funraise Platform Transaction Fee_ rate of 0% for qualified transactions.

### Automatically re-charge updated payment methods

It is already the case that when a recurring payment fails, the donor receives an [email with a link to update their payment method](https://help.funraise.io/en/articles/4403248-payment-method-updater-email). With this release, when a donor updates their payment method, the failed payment will be recharged so the donor does not miss a donation.

### Yearly Donation Summary PDF

The legacy _Yearly Donation Summary_ email automation has been sunset in favor of several simple options.

- Donors, on their own, can access their historic donations and yearly giving summaries in [Funraise’s Giving Portal App](https://help.funraise.io/en/articles/5059288-giving-portal-mobile-app-giving-by-funraise).
- You can now [send a Yearly Donation Summary PDF](https://help.funraise.io/en/articles/1971113-send-yearly-donation-summary) by email to a donor individually.

### Fundraising Commitments

Require fundraisers to raise a specific amount and then charge their payment method for any remaining amount they were not able to raise through their page. [Watch the sneak peek](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RE55PbnZTLI).

### Giving Portal App - Subscription Management

Currently, donors can manage their donations and access yearly donation summaries in [Funraise’s Giving Portal App](https://help.funraise.io/en/articles/5059288-giving-portal-mobile-app-giving-by-funraise). Soon, donors will be able to edit their recurring subscription details and payment methods in the Giving Portal App.

- **Legacy Sites:** Legacy Campaign Sites (any site created before January 8, 2021) will be sunset on `Jan 1, 2022`.
